Ginger Editorial Services was started in 2007 by Elise Caffee for the purpose of providing editorial services for publishing houses and authors.
Elise is a native of Short Hills, New Jersey who has always had that editorial "magic touch." She started her publishing career as the editorial assistant for the Rhetoric Society Quarterly while in graduate school and found a love of publishing. While pursuing her M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition, she also was a Freshman English Composition Instructor and a Technical Writing Instructor at Brigham Young University.
After graduation, Elise attended the prestigious New York University Summer Publishing Institute, which helped further launch her editing and publishing career.
Elise continued her publishing career, working in-house and freelance for various academic and textbook publishing companies, including Cengage, Sage Publications, and Cognella. She specializes in strategic development, project management, developmental editing, proofreading, art and photo research, and ancillaries development.
Elise is also a travel writer and photographer and created the popular family travel Instagram account, @3KidsTravel and accompanying website in 2015. Elise shares the ups and downs of traveling with kids, her itineraries, family travel tips, and more.
In 2022, Elise started Jumelle Press with Tiffany Rosenhan. Jumelle Press is an independent publisher based in Salt Lake City, Utah with a focus on art and design books, cookbooks, and children’s books.
Elise finds joy in helping authors find their voice and navigate the publishing process. If you are in need of editorial help, please reach out for a consult!
